Gender Support for children, individuals & Families.
Supporting transition.
- Your identity is valid. Your story matters.
- This is a space for trans and gender-diverse people to explore who they are, speak honestly, and be supported through the journey of affirmation and transition.
- I offer confidential, gender-affirming counselling for:
- - Questioning or exploring gender identity;
- - Social transition; Name and pronoun changes,
- - Coming out at school, work, or in relationships;
- - Managing dysphoria, anxiety, or low mood;
- - Accessing community supports and trans-friendly professionals;
- - Understanding options for affirming care in Australia.
- You will be met with respect, curiosity, and safety, not assumptions. Some people know who they are from a young age; others take time to discover and express their gender in their own way. There is no timeline and no “right” path.
- My practice is informed by current evidence in gender diversity, developmental science, and mental health. I work collaboratively, meaning you set the pace and direction, and we focus on what feels right for you.
- If you’re seeking clarity, comfort, stability, or change, you don’t have to do it alone.
- Counselling can give you space to breathe, be heard, and move forward with confidence in who you are.
Supporting Parents & Carers.
When a child or young person shares their gender identity, it can bring up a mix of emotions , love, confusion, protectiveness, worry about the future, pride, guilt, or even a sense of loss. These feelings are real, valid, and more common than most people realise.
Counselling can offer a calm, confidential space to:- Process early reactions without judgment;- Understand gender identity, development, and affirming care;
- Explore feelings such as grief, guilt, fear, or uncertainty;- Learn how to support your child while caring for yourself;- Navigate school conversations, family dynamics, and community reactions;
Ask questions you might not feel comfortable asking anywhere else.
There is no “perfect” way to respond. Parenting is complex, and it’s okay not to have all the answers right away. What matters most is your willingness to learn, listen, and be present with your child.
In our sessions, we focus on connection over perfection.We explore practical information alongside emotional support, so you can feel confident, informed, and able to advocate for your child’s wellbeing.
Many parents find that with support, initial fears give way to understanding, acceptance, and even a deeper relationship with their child.
Wherever you are in this journey, you don’t have to walk it alone. I’m here to support you, with kindness, clarity, and respect for both you and your child.
